Braxton County Schools is exploring the option of offering Non-Traditional Instruction Days again this coming winter through an initiative known as Reimagining Time. The West Virginia Department of Education is providing an opportunity for flexible scheduling and options for the delivery of instruction when traditional instruction is not feasible. If adopted by the Braxton County Board of Education and approved by the West Virginia Department of Education, Braxton County students may be provided instruction remotely during inclement weather. This policy will allow students to work from home up to five days during the school year instead of making up snow days at the end of the year. Students will still have the five traditional snow days where they do not have to complete assignments. The traditional snow days will be called prior to the Non-Traditional Instruction Days.

I value your input and will share the results of the survey with the Braxton County Board of Education so they will better know how to proceed.
