Community Service Award

The Braxton County Board of Education is now accepting nominations for the Community Involvement Service Award.

The Community Involvement Service Award honors students and community members who demonstrate exceptional service, leadership, and dedication while making a meaningful difference in their school and community. This award promotes civic responsibility and recognizes individuals who go above and beyond in their commitment to Braxton County Schools.

Nominees must meet the following requirements:

  • Demonstrated positive impact on the school or community through service, outreach, or volunteerism.

  • Strong record of integrity, leadership, and personal commitment.

  • Evidence of significant contributions that enhance educational or community programs.

  • Consistent presence and engagement with Braxton County Schools or related activities.

  • Submission of letters of recommendation from school staff, administrators, or community leaders.

  • Active participation in community, civic, or school-sponsored programs.
    Other notable accomplishments may be considered (for example, leadership roles, service initiatives, or special projects).

  • For student nominees: Evidence of academic achievement (such as GPA, honors, or awards) and no behavioral or conduct violations during the current year.

Students and community members may be nominated by staff, administrators, or other community members. Nominations may be made by submitting the form linked below.

The Braxton County Board of Education will review the applications and supporting documentation and select the award recipient.

Recipients will be recognized at a meeting of the Braxton County Board of Education. Each recipient will receive a certificate and public acknowledgement for their outstanding service and contributions to Braxton County Schools.
