The Braxton County Board of Education shall receive sealed bids by written proposal for one New Maintenance Truck. The sealed bids shall be accepted until 3:00 pm, local prevailing time, on the 23rd day of January 2026, at the Braxton County Board Office, 98 Carter Braxton Drive, Sutton, WV 26601, at which time and place, all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids can be submitted via regular mail or electronically via email to sjlawson@k12.wv.us. If emailing make sure the bid is in an attachment with the subject line SEALED BID for New Maintenance Truck. The attachment will not be opened until the opening date and time. DO NOT include any of the bid information in the body of the email. Bid specifications for Maintenance Truck with a minimum of the following requirements: ¾ ton truck, HD, V-8, 4 WD, Gasoline, automatic heavy-duty transmission, towing package, commercial service body, front snowplow package installed, rear sold spreader, 8ft bed and double cab. Please include copy of window sticker with written bids.
All sealed bids should be marked “Maintenance Truck” to the attention of Sarah Lawson. The truck must be available to Braxton County Schools within 30 days of the award notification. The Braxton County Board of Education reserves the right to reject all bids and waive any informality in the bidding. The successful bidder may be chosen for commercial bed functionality and quality, not strictly price.
