In accordance with the application guidelines set by the West Virginia Department of Education, the Braxton County School District is submitting this Notice of Intent to apply for the 21st Century Community Learning Centers Program Grant. One grant application will be submitted to support Braxton County High School and Braxton County Middle School, while another will be submitted to support the six elementary schools: Burnsville Elementary, Davis Elementary, Flatwoods Elementary, Frametown Elementary, Little Birch Elementary, and Sutton Elementary. This grant will fund academic remediation and enrichment activities during non-school hours, as well as provide a wide range of additional services, programs, and activities designed to complement the regular academic curriculum. The 21st CCLC programs will also offer families opportunities for meaningful engagement in their child’s education, including literacy and other educational development opportunities. The application will be available for public review upon submission. For input on the program, please contact Dr. Leatha G. Williams at the Braxton County Board of Education or any principal at your local school.


This message is for riders and families of Bus 33A. There are a couple places on the route (Tom's Run and Rick Hart residence) that there are trees across the road. Bus 33A is running, but could be late this morning.

Due to a water line break Burnsville Elementary will be closed today, Thursday, April 3, 2025.

All Riders of Bus 49 that live passed Spruce Grove Church will need to be picked up at Frametown Elementary School today due to the fire at the church. Again, if your student lives passed Spruce Grove Church please pick up your student at Frametown Elementary School today. Thank you.

Good Morning, this message is for riders and families of Bus 41A, the bus will not be running this afternoon due to a driver shortage and drivers out sick for Wednesday, March 12, 2025. Students that ride Bus 41A from Davis Elementary and live upriver from Davis Elementary will be picked up at Davis at 3:00 PM by Bus 38A and dropped at their bus stops 15 minutes early. Please be ready to receive them 15 minutes early. Students that live down river from Davis will be picked up and delivered by Bus 38A. Those that live on Joe's Fork parents will need to meet the bus at the end of Wilsie Rd. Those that live up Tate Creek will need to meet the bus at the mouth of Tate Creek. Thank you.

Good Evening. This message is for families of students who ride Bus 49, formerly 30A. Bus 49 will not be running Wednesday, March 12, 2025 due to driver shortage and drivers out sick, but Bus 38A will be covering. Students who live up Leatherwood, Upper Mill Creek, and Frametown Hill, please bring your elementary students to Frametown Elementary by 7:00 am in the morning and pick them up at Frametown Elementary by 4:15 pm.
