Starting tomorrow, Wednesday, January 7, 2026 Bus 44 will be traveling through Chemical Town again with the re-opening of the road at the slip. The driver estimates passing the Senior Center at 7:11; then will proceed on Herold Rd. through Chemical Town toward Sycamore St. to the 5-way with estimated time at the 5-way at 7:19. Please have your students out a few minutes early at your home instead of meeting the bus at the Senior Center. In the afternoon estimated time to meet Bus 44 at the 5-way on Sycamore St. will be 4:01, passing Senior Center area at 4:09, at Frame's Custom Meats at 4:18, intersection of Herold Rd. and US 19 at 4:22, & Buck Fork at 4:30pm. Please be out to meet your students a few minutes early. Thank you.

Parents/Guardians of homeschool students in grades 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, or 11 may use this form to request their child’s participation in testing for the 2025–26 West Virginia GSA or SAT School Day.
Please complete and submit this form no later than February 6, 2026, to ensure proper planning and testing arrangements.

The Braxton County Board office will be closed beginning Wednesday, December 21st and our office will reopen on Monday, December 29th following the Christmas Holiday. Office hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Good Evening, Bus 37A will be operating on a Snow Route tomorrow, Dec. 19, 2025. Bus 37A will not be going on Arnett Rd, you can meet the bus at the church or at Burnsville Elementary. Bus 37A will also not be going on Monkey Road, you can meet the bus at Flatwoods Elementary at 6:46. Thank you.

The Braxton County Rotary Club is sponsoring a Teacher Recognition Program to recognize excellence in teaching.
