This message is for families of Braxton County Schools students.
Due to the pandemic and particularly to contact tracing, students are to ride only the bus they are assigned to ride. Currently, the bus pass is to be used only if the student must have a bus change in a permanent situation. For instance, the student needs to ride a different bus every evening. Another example would be the student must ride a different bus on Friday evening and Monday morning every other weekend.
Again, due to safety and contact tracing during the pandemic, bus passes are to be used only for permanent changes.

Due to a circumstance in the community this morning, these schools were locked down today for approximately 30 minutes. No inciddent occurred in the schools or on school property. This message is for families of students who ride either Bus 36A, Marcy Westfall, or Bus 42A, Arnold Bender. These buses will not be running tomorrow, Tuesday, September 21. We hope that families will be able to find a way to send their children to school. Again, buses 36A and 42A will not run on Tuesday.

If you cannot place an order electronically please contact the school secretary to place your order. Student lunch numbers are required. All orders must be placed today by 1:30pm. Attention Parents and Guardians that have students riding bus 40A. Bus 40A will not run tomorrow September 14, 2021 in the morning or afternoon.
Sutton Elementary will be on Remote Learning Tuesday, September 14 and Wednesday, September 15 due to a shortage of staff. We apologize for any inconvenience. Parents of Sutton Elementary a learning plan was sent home with your student this afternoon. Braxton County Schools will notify you on Wednesday of the plan for the remainder of week for Sutton Elementary.

The American Recovery Act of 2021 provides funding for schools to cover expenses for internet services and devices for students without home access. To help Braxton County Schools determine our needs for the coming school year, please complete the form sent home with students today and return it to school on September 13, 2021. If your student does not get the form to you. You may download and print the form from the home page of the Braxton County Schools website. It will be a green button mid page titled ECF Internet Form.

Attention Parents,
Flatwoods Elementary has been closed due to inclement weather. Students from Flatwoods Elementary were sent to Braxton County High Schools. Braxton County High School and Braxton County Middle School will be dismissed at 11am. Each elementary dismissal time will also be adjust to accommodate the early dismissal. Parents please make arrangements to have someone available to meet young children at the drop off locations.
