This message is for families of Braxton County Schools students. Due to the pandemic and particularly to contact tracing, students are to ride only the bus they are assigned to ride. Currently, the bus pass is to be used only if the student must have a bus change in a permanent situation. For instance, the student needs to ride a different bus every evening. Another example would be the student must ride a different bus on Friday evening and Monday morning every other weekend. Again, due to safety and contact tracing during the pandemic, bus passes are to be used only for permanent changes. Thank you for your cooperation and assistance in keeping the students healthy. The American Recovery Act of 2021 provides funding for schools to cover expenses for internet services and devices for students without home access. To help Braxton County Schools determine our needs for the coming school year, please complete the form sent home with students today and return it to school on September 13, 2021. If your student does not get the form to you. You may download and print the form from the home page of the Braxton County Schools website. Attention Parents, Flatwoods Elementary has been closed due to inclement weather. Students from Flatwoods Elementary were sent to Braxton County High Schools. Braxton County High School and Braxton County Middle School will be dismissed at 11am. Each elementary dismissal time will also be adjust to accommodate the early dismissal. Parents please make arrangements to have someone available to meet young children at the drop off locations.
